Beatriz Nussbaumer es Ingeniera Agrónoma de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y Doctora en Ciencias Agropecuarias, título otorgado por la Universidad Humboldt de Berlín, Alemania. Las áreas de investigación abordadas hasta el momento fueron los procesos organizativos de productores agropecuarios, la institucionalidad para el desarrollo rural y las transformaciones socio-productivas, ambientales y culturales en comunidades rurales producto de los procesos de migración. Actualmente su línea de investigación se aboca al estudio de los conflictos territoriales y por los recursos naturales, procesos de rearticulación identitaria étnica en el campo general de las políticas públicas orientadas a los espacios rurales.
