El foco de mi experticia se encuentra en la reconstrucción de la dinámica ambiental y los diferentes forzantes (clima, fuego, humanos) asociados en diferentes áreas de Sudamérica desde el Último Máximo Glacial. Mi principal interés ha sido reconstruir la historia pasada de diferentes áreas a lo largo de la Diagonal Árida Sudamericana así como también de los bosques templados de la Patagonia Central de Chile. El análisis polínico es la herramienta principal que utilizo en las reconstrucciones de la vegetación pero siempre complementadas con otros indicadores de manera de obtener reconstrucciones robustas del ambiente respaldadas por las evidencias multiproxy. Mi experiencia incluye el análisis de diferentes tipos de registros fósiles incluyendo madrigueras de roedores actuales y fósiles, bosques pantanosos, lagos y mallines. Trabajar con esta diversidad de registros me ha permitido comprender no sólo las escalas temporales y espaciales representadas sino también la diferente sensibilidad, ventajas y desventajas de cada uno de ellos. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
