Mi ámbito de trabajo general es la filosofía contemporánea. Mis investigaciones son más sistemáticas que históricas. Las áreas específicas han abarcado anteriormente la filosofía trascendental contemporánea (en la línea de la pragmática trascendental), la tradición hermenéutica (Gadamer), la ética discursiva y la filosofía de la técnica. Más recientemente, me he aproximado a una serie de problemas ligados con la atribución de pensamiento (estados y capacidades mentales) a animales no humanos.
