Tengo 20 años de antigüedad en investigación, desde el Doctorado hasta la actualidad como Investigadora Adjunta. En mi tesis he estudiado la composición lipídica de Bradyrhizobium y su adaptación a estreses ambientales. Luego he estudiado el rol de proteínas necesarias para polimerización y exporte de exopolisacáridos en rizobios. Actualmente trabajo en una línea de investigación aplicada a la producción de metabolitos bioactivos por cepas de Bacillus y hemos hecho importantes avances en el estudio de los lipopeptidos ciclicos LPC como agentes antifungicos y antibacterianos. He realizado estancias de investigación en el Centro de Ciencias Genómicas (UNAM México, 2006 y 2009), en la Universidad de Sevilla (España 2011), en el Laboratorio de Biología Computacional (EEAD Zaragoza España, 2013), en la UniAndes y la Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia, 2024) financiadas por becas de la Sec. de Relaciones Exteriores de México, la UNESCO, la Fundación Carolina y UNU-BIOLAC. En 2024 me aboqué a estudios de biofísica de membrana para entender el mecanismo de acción antibacteriana de los LPC. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
