Desde mis inicios, mi trabajo de investigación se desarrolla en Ingeniería de Materiales y Nanotecnología. Inicialmente estudié la formación de fases metálicas de baja dimensionalidad formadas a subpotencial sobre sustratos de Au monocristalinos, mediante técnicas electroquímicas convencionales y su caracterización por STM in-situ. Posteriormente, estudié la formación de nanoalambres bimetálicos de Cu y Ni dentro de los poros de membranas de óxido de aluminio. Además, se participó activamente como directora adjunta de una tesis doctoral. Actualmente, trabajo en la obtención, caracterización y aplicación de materiales con meso- y nano-porosidad compuestos de materiales biocompatibles y biodegradables. Aerogeles de materiales poliméricos, como son los polisacáridos, se logran mediante secado de hidrogeles en CO2 supercrítico o por liofilización y resultan de gran interés para aplicaciones biomédicas y en la remediación de aguas contaminadas. Se dominan las técnicas experimentales necesarias para sintetizar, caracterizar y evaluar los biomateriales formados. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
