Mi especialidad es la paleobotánica (plantas fósiles). Mi experticia es en Botánica (morfología, anatomía, sistemática vegetal, filogenia) y, complementariamente, en Geología (estratigrafía y paleoambientes sedimentarios continentales). Esto es así debido a que mi objeto de estudio (vegetales fósiles) se preserva en rocas sedimentarias con lo cual debo poder interpretar e integrar la información biológica del fósil (morfología/anatomía, sistemática y evolución, etc) como geológica de los depósitos que lo contienen (estratigrafía/edad, paleoambiente, etc). Manejo de herramientas estadísticas, de análisis filogenéticos, bioestratigrafía, preparación de fósiles en general (cutículas, cortes delgados, peels y medios de montaje). Uso de microscopía (MO, MEB, MET, fluorescencia). Trabajo de campo: prospección y muestreo de restos vegetales fósiles y actuales. Aplica a estudios de impacto ambiental (vinculados a la afectación potencial de la biodiversidad vegetal y de yacimientos paleontológicos). Aplica indirectamente a exploración de hidrocarburos, mediante estudios bioestratigráficos. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
