Mi tesis doctoral se basó en el diseño, síntesis y caracterización, tanto estructural como de propiedades física, de óxidos complejos tipo Ba5-xLaxNb4-xTixO15. Estos materiales presentaban gran interés desde el punto de vista científico y tecnológico, debido a la posibilidad de obtener propiedades específicas como superconductididad y magnetoresistencia colosal. Posteriormente, durante la realización de mi posdoctorado, estuve abocado al estudio experimental de propiedades magnéticas y de trans... Mi tesis doctoral se basó en el diseño, síntesis y caracterización, tanto estructural como de propiedades física, de óxidos complejos tipo Ba5-xLaxNb4-xTixO15. Estos materiales presentaban gran interés desde el punto de vista científico y tecnológico, debido a la posibilidad de obtener propiedades específicas como superconductididad y magnetoresistencia colosal. Posteriormente, durante la realización de mi posdoctorado, estuve abocado al estudio experimental de propiedades magnéticas y de transporte en óxidos mixtos tipo Espines y Perovskitas. Como Investigador Asistente, comencé con el diseño, síntesis y estudio de nuevos materiales sólidos cristalinos tipo calcogenuros mixtos, donde el anión puede ser O, S, Se y/o Te, que posean propiedades interesantes para su posible aplicación tecnológica en diversas áreas. Los campos de aplicación abarcados son: química inorgánica, ciencia de materiales, cristalografía, difracción de polvos de rayos X y neutrones, estudio de propiedades eléctricas, magnéticas y de transporte, magnetoresistencia, termoelectricidad, entre otros.
