A lo largo de mi carrera he trabajado en estadios tempranos de desarrollo de peces, incluyendo identificación de larvas y zonas de reproducción de peces migradores. Luego aborde el estudio de interacciones tróficas de larvas de peces con especies exóticas, dedicándome a estudiar el impacto de estas nuevas especies sobre la fauna local. En especies invasoras he tomado como modelo de estudio al mejillón dorado, Limnoperna fortunei. Actualmente me interesan procesos de adaptación, e interacción entre fauna nativa y exótica, con énfasis en las variaciones morfológicas, metabólicas y comportamentales de ambos grupos de organismos. Por otro lado también me interesan métodos de control de especies introducidas acuáticas en plantas industriales, y métodos de prevención especialmente tratamientos de agua de lastre, bioincrustaciones y otros. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
