Mi desarrollo profesional se inició en el campo de las Ciencias Ambientales, donde realicé el diseño y ejecución de muestreo y análisis de contaminantes presentes en el medio ambiente. Durante mi tesis doctoral estudié sistemas poliuretanos/acrílicos y nanocompuestos nanosílice/poliuretano, desde su caracterización hasta su potencial aplicación como recubrimientos de altas prestaciones. Parte de mi trabajo actual combina ambas áreas en la preparación y caracterización de nanomateriales poliméri... Mi desarrollo profesional se inició en el campo de las Ciencias Ambientales, donde realicé el diseño y ejecución de muestreo y análisis de contaminantes presentes en el medio ambiente. Durante mi tesis doctoral estudié sistemas poliuretanos/acrílicos y nanocompuestos nanosílice/poliuretano, desde su caracterización hasta su potencial aplicación como recubrimientos de altas prestaciones. Parte de mi trabajo actual combina ambas áreas en la preparación y caracterización de nanomateriales poliméricos obtenidos a partir de materias primas renovables y/o sustentables mediante la adecuada combinación de biopolímeros y nanopartículas, con el objeto de encontrar nuevos materiales con propiedades mejoradas en distintos campos (alimentos, biomateriales, recubrimientos) y amigables con el medio ambiente. En la actualidad, mi principal interés se centra en el empleo de diversas técnicas de polimerización y estrategias de autoensamblaje para la preparación de polímeros y materiales nanocompuestos con aplicaciones en la industria petrolera, biomedicina y catálisis.
