Mi campo investigación es el estudio de la biodiversidad de artrópodos terrestres (insectos y arácnidos) en ambientes áridos, especialmente Patagonia, y su relación con los factores naturales y antrópicos que condicionan su distribución. Mis líneas de trabajo actuales se enmarcan en: el aporte al conocimiento taxonómico de la entomofauna patagónica; en el estudio de los distintos factores naturales que estructuran a estas comunidades y su respuesta a los disturbios antrópicos (como el pastoreo y la desertificación); predecir cambios ambientales mediados por actividades antrópicas a través del uso de los artrópodos como bioindicadores; brindar herramientas para el desarrollo y monitoreo de Áreas Naturales Protegidas; estudios sobre la morfología de los artrópodos y su comportamiento alimentario. Además me desempeño como: curador de la Colección Entomológica del CENPAT-CONICET, profesor Adjunto en la cátedra ?Biología de Artrópodos? en la UNPSJB, director de cuatro Tesis de Licenciatura (tres ya defendidas), una Tesis Doctoral y varias actividades de divulgación científica. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
