Las membranas celulares tienen funciones de permeabilidad, comunicación intercelular y con el medio, desplazamiento celular, entre otras. En la membrana ocurren diversas reacciones bioquímicas y se inician múltiples cascadas de señalización. Se conoce que son estructuras complejas de propiedades particulares, las cuales aún no se comprenden completamente. El objetivo de mi proyecto es describir la energética relacionada con la deformación de biomembranas tanto en el plano como fuera del mismo y... Se conoce que son estructuras complejas de propiedades particulares, las cuales aún no se comprenden completamente. El objetivo de mi proyecto es describir la energética relacionada con la deformación de biomembranas tanto en el plano como fuera del mismo y como la misma es modulada por la composición de la membrana y su interacción con el entorno. En particular, las interacciones electrostáticas se reconocen como un factor altamente importante, el cual debe ser estudiado teniendo en cuenta que las moléculas que forman la membrana son cargadas o dipolares y que se encuentran insertas en la misma membrana que es un medio apolar sumergido en uno acuoso.
