Mis principales actividades de investigación están relacionadas con la estratigrafía, la sedimentología y la paleontología. Dentro de estas áreas de conocimiento, mi trabajo se centra en el estudio del registro estratigráfico preservado en sedimentos depositados durante las incursiones marinas, acaecidas durante el Paleógeno-Neógeno en diversas cuencas de la Patagonia, así como el modo en que éstos preservan los fósiles. Aplico metodologías provenientes de distintas disciplinas con el objetivo de reconstruir los paleoambientes sedimentarios y comprender los procesos responsables de la formación de las concentraciones fósiles. Analizo las sucesiones sedimentarias en el marco de la estratigrafía secuencial, determinando los cambios en el nivel del mar y los principales controles sedimentarios. Además, empleo técnicas de análisis de isótopos de Sr para calibrar la edad de las transgresiones. El objetivo principal de estas investigaciones es aportar al conocimiento de los cambios bióticos, paleoambientales y paleogeográficos ocurridos en el sur de América del Sur durante el Cenozoico. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
