Mi área de interés académico-científico es la fisicoquímica. Me he especializado en la fotólisis de contaminantes/sustratos de interés ambiental, industrial y biológico. Trabajo en dilucidar el destino de los mismos en la naturaleza, dentro de un modelo simplificado, como una evolución a través de tres posibles etapas relacionadas: adsorción sobre materia orgánica o inorgánica del suelo, seguido por un proceso de transferencia o movimiento hacia otros entornos, diferentes al inicialmente planeado, y finalmente degradación del compuesto. Utilizo técnicas espectrofotométricas UV-V, actinométricas, técnicas con láseres, espectrofluorimetría. Técnicas de fotooxidación avanzadas para reacciones de foto-fenton asistidas. Sintesis de nanopartículas para tratamientos de aguas residuales.HPLC y fotólisis para la fotodegradación de sustratos. En la actualidad mi interés científico está en el uso de fotoreactores para el tratamiento de aguas basado en su capacidad para descontaminar eficientemente el agua, su sostenibilidad como tecnología y su amplio espectro de aplicaciones. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
