Durante mi tesis doctoral y posdoctorado desarrolle técnicas de biología molecular (clonado, expresión y caracterización de enzimas de membrana) y microbiología general en bacterias, con el objeto de estudiar la bioquímica y fisiología bacteriana asociadas a la homeostasis de metales pesados. Durante los años posteriores a mi Posdoctorado inicie trabajos en el área de la Fitopatología. En este sentido he dirigido mis estudios a establecer las bases genéticas asociadas al desarrollo de resistencia fúngica a químicos usados en la pre y poscosecha de frutas y hortalizas en el NOA y al desarrollo de nuevos tratamientos poscosecha no contaminantes para el control de enfermedades fungicas en cultivos de interes regional, aplicando compuestos GRAS, nanopartículas metalicas, recubrimientos comestibles y agentes de biocontrol o sus derivados metabólicos. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
