Soy investigador científico del CONICET. Trabajo en el IANIGLA-CCT-Mza. Mi área de interés científico esta centrada en: 1) las reconstrucciones paleoclimáticas a través del estudio de los anillos de árboles; 2) aplicaciones de la dendrocronología en estudios ecológicos, arqueológicos, históricos e hidrológicos en los Andes centrales y patagónicos. Mis proyectos de investigación actuales incluyen el desarrollo de un Atlas de Sequías en América del Sur durante los últimos 600 años, sus impactos en los ecosistemas y la relación con los cambios socioculturales durante la época precolombina e histórica. Además, incluyen mis proyectos, el desarrollo de redes de cronologías de ancho de anillos e isotopos dO18 y dC13, en los Andes Centrales de Argentina, Bolivia, Perú y Chile. Estos registros paleoclimáticos contienen un espectro más completo de la variabilidad climática natural que la dada por los registros instrumentales y por lo tanto permiten comprender los mecanismos de la dinámica climática en un contexto de largo plazo (centurias, milenios). *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
