I am graduated from FCEyN, UBA with a PhD in Plant Biotechnology. My background is in molecular biology, genetic engineering and plant biotechnology. At the present moment, I am working in a platform to over-produce different recombinant proteins using plant cell cultures. Also, the focus of my research is on biotechnology, as a clean, friendly and safe technology that makes possible sustainable development to provide natural resources and ecosystem services in degraded ambients. At the present moment, I am working in a platform to over-produce different recombinant proteins using plant cell cultures. Also, the focus of my research is on biotechnology, as a clean, friendly and safe technology that makes possible sustainable development to provide natural resources and ecosystem services in degraded ambients. These research lines are in association with ACUMAR and APRA where I am studying bioremediation processes using microalgae cultures in a large-scale. We are studing the efficeny of bioremediation in transformed and non-transformed cell cultures of Chlorella vulgaris using bioreactors as model for production. The research findings were driven with sewage and industrial effluents from Cildañez stream (Matanza-Riachuelo basin) and Reconquista River (COMIREC). The technologies discusse here include cell immobilization of algae, and mathematical modelling. Other activities include the participation in REDBIO.
