He estudiado la calidad de agua y el efecto sobre las comunidades productoras con énfasis en el perifiton, evaluando como factor de deterioro la contaminación difusa producto del uso agropecuario en las riberas, la ocupación por leñosas, el uso del triclosan como tóxico y la urbanización. En este contexto he realizado estudios de metabolismo donde se evalúan la producción y respiración utilizando métodos abiertos y con cámaras. He trabajado con métodos para la determinación de nutrientes en el agua, de exoenzimas y enzimas de estrés oxidativo del perifiton, determinación taxonómica de microalgas de agua dulce. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
