Desarrollo de catalizadores y adsorbentes para el tratamiento de efluentes líquidos(metales pesados, colorantes, fármacos) y gaseosos (COVs, NOx). Síntesis de biocompositos en base a materiales biodegradables (quitosano, alginato, celulosa). Síntesis de nanopartículas en sistemas continuos y discontinuos: plata y cobre para uso como pesticidas y sistemas core/shell Sílice-oro aplicadas en biomedicina. Conocimiento en técnicas de preparación y caracterización de materiales. Conocimiento en el uso e interpretación de resultados en técnicas espectroscópicas como Raman, FTIR, UV y DRX. También en técnicas calorimétricas (TGA y DSC) como en volumétricas: TR, TPO, cromatografía gaseosa, etc.Manejo de equipos de flujo con controles de flujo y temperatura.
