Durante mi doctorado, analicé la variabilidad genética neutral y adaptativa del roedor subterráneo Ctenomys talarum (tuco-tuco), estudiando la influencia de la demografía y el comportamiento en la estructura genética de sus poblaciones. En mi postdoctorado, investigué las bases fisiológicas y genéticas de la variabilidad en la respuesta inmune en roedores, lo que dio lugar a mi línea de trabajo en Ecoinmunología. Actualmente, mi investigación se centra en explorar los compromisos energéticos y nutricionales entre la función inmune y otros procesos, como la termorregulación, la reproducción y el crecimiento, evaluando el impacto de la dieta, infecciones parasitarias y restricciones térmicas en la respuesta inmune de los tuco-tucos. A lo largo de mi carrera, para responder a estas preguntas, he combinado el uso de herramientas en inmunología, parasitología, fisiología y genética de poblaciones, como análisis de respuesta inmune, identificación de parásitos, medición de tasa metabólica y secuenciación genética. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
