My interest in infectious diseases lies in their social and economic impact as well as in the need to study not only parasites but also hosts and environment in order to provide effective integrative programs to prevent and control the transmission of diseases. Therefore, my projects always contemplated the three main aspects of the epidemiological triad: environment, host, and parasite. My research experience is based on 15 years of experience??as PhD student, post-doctoral and researcher??in ... Therefore, my projects always contemplated the three main aspects of the epidemiological triad: environment, host, and parasite. My research experience is based on 15 years of experience??as PhD student, post-doctoral and researcher??in several projects. Throughout different stages of my professional and academic career I have learned to manage different projects at the same time, to plan efficiently my tasks and to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary atmosphere. This attitude enabled me to quickly grasp new topics and achieve a leadership position within research groups. All of these projects and background have a theme in common: to understand, in a holistic view, the transmission of infectious diseases as to apply it to real?life problems within society.
