Inicialmente me especialice en temas relacionados con Inestabilidad Genómica Mitocondrial y Disfunción mitocondrial. Adquirí experiencia en el manejo de técnicas moleculares como PCR y RFLP, para estudiar, sobre ADN, mutaciones de punto (SNPs) y/o deleciones. Posteriormente adquirí experiencia en regulación de la expresión génica, microRNAs y metilación del ADN. Incorpore conocimiento en técnicas como Secuenciación del ADN (NGS, Next Generation Sequencing y programas informáticos asociados al análisis del conjunto de datos obtenidos), el método SNuPe (Single Nucleotide Primer Extension) para analizar SNPs y expresión alélica diferencial, y diferentes técnicas para evaluar metilación, como ser MS-MLPA (Methylation Specific-Multiple Ligation Probe Amplification), MS-PCR (PCR específica para metilación) y pirosecuenciación, entre las destacadas. Tanto las áreas de estudio como las técnicas detalladas fueron y son aplicadas al estudio de diversos tumores humanos, como cáncer de mamas, colon y gástrico, también al estudio de pacientes con Poliposis Adenomatosa Familiar (FAP). *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
