Me he formado como Microbiólogo trabajando con rizobacterias recomendadas como inoculantes de leguminosas y aplicando técnicas convencionales de microbiología y de bioquímica. Me he formado como Microbiólogo trabajando con rizobacterias recomendadas como inoculantes de leguminosas y aplicando técnicas convencionales de microbiología y de bioquímica. Posteriormente he realizado tareas de investigación en el área de la fitorremediación de aguas contaminadas con compuestos fenólicos utilizando raíces transformadas. Para ello me dediqué a la purificación de enzimas y apliqué técnicas de cultivo de tejidos vegetales. Realicé mi doctorado en biotecnología trabajando con cultivos de células vegetales en suspensión para la producción de metabolitos secundarios en biorreactores de tanque agitado. Aquí abordé temas tanto de biotecnología vegetal como de escalado de bioprocesos. Actualmente continuo trabajando con técnicas de cultivo de células y tejidos vegetales en biorreactores, además del cultivo de microalgas con fines biotecnológicos y ambientales. Recientemente he comenzado con experiencias en el campo de la nanobiotecnología para la producción de nanopartículas metálicas mediante síntesis biológica.
