Me dedico al estudio de materiales en escala nanoscópica y en sistemas de interés biológico usando métodos computacionales cuánticos y de campo de fuerza clásico. Las propiedades que modelo son electrónicas, magnéticas y estructurales. En particular en el área de nanomateriales me interesa el grafeno y otros materiales a base de carbono como nanotubos. En el área biológica me interesa modelar reactividad y función de enzimas y proteínas. Las herramientas computacionales que utilizo se pueden aplicar a una gran variedad de problemas tecnológicos en donde las propiedades cuánticas son relevantes para entender el problema. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
