El área en el que desarrollo mi labor de investigación es la Hematología, orientada específicamente a las plaquetas y sus precursores, los megacariocitos. Son objeto de estudio todas las enfermedades relacionadas con alteraciones cuali o cuantitativas de las plaquetas, tanto desórdenes mieloproliferativos crónicos asociados a trombocitosis, como trombocitopenias genéticas y adquiridas. En este sentido, llevo adelante estudios de investigación y actividad asistencial, dos tareas que se vinculan estrechamente y se enriquecen mutuamente. Durante los últimos 15 años, vengo dirigiendo becarios doctorales y post-doctorales, así como tesinas de maestría. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
