Los procesos socioculturales ligados al consumo de alcohol, alcoholización y conductas asociadas en Santa Fe desde fines del siglo XIX a mediados del siglo XX. El objetivo general de esta línea es reconstruir los sentidos dominantes sobre el consumo de alcohol como enfermedad, como vicio y como práctica de sociabilidad y analizar sus vínculos con las prácticas estatales, de la sociedad civil y las formas en que transformaron la vida social. La ingesta de bebidas alcohólicas es un fenómeno presente en sociedades diversas cultural y temporalmente. Sus usos, individuales y colectivos, han abarcado un arco tan amplio como la recreación, la liturgia, los rituales de pasaje, el consumo cultural y actos de resistencia "silenciosos" frente a regímenes de dominación. En esta variedad de sentidos, se han mantenido la fascinación y el rechazo que la figura del ebrio concita. Por ello una perspectiva sociocultural situada regionalmente contribuye a poner en tensión los discursos y prácticas dominantes con sus propios procesos históricos de formación. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
