Desarrollo de modelos computacionales de superficies catalíticas y de sólidos 3D; realización de cálculos basados en la mecánica cuántica aplicados a "slabs" y sistemas 3D extendidos espacialmente, con el fin de estudiar el comportamiento catalítico de superficies y la interacción superficie-adsorbato. El punto de partida son los elementos intervinientes y una razonable información estructural. Por tanto, se puede así predecir y orientar el diseño de materiales con la asistencia computacional.
