Mi principal área de trabajo se centra en la contaminación por plásticos en los diversos ambientes del río Paraná (cauces, lagunas, playas, bancos, etc) evaluando cantidad, composición y distribución de los residuos plásticos considerando el efecto de la hidrología propia del sistema. A su vez, investigó los posibles efectos/asociaciones entre los residuos plásticos y las comunidades bióticas (invertebrados terrestres) que habitan estos ambientes dinámicos.El estudio la contaminación plástica en ríos incluyendo aspectos hidrológicos y biológicos ha sido poco abordado en el río Paraná y sus afluentes, siendo los estudios relativamente escasos.Mi foco ha estado puesto en el estudio de esta problemática global en sistemas fluviales, más precisamente en el río Paraná Medio, desarrollando diferentes investigaciones con el fin de dar a conocer la gravedad de la contaminación plástica en este río y su extensa planicie de inundación. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
