Mi principal interés es la investigación en genética de poblaciones en un sentido amplio. En particular, estoy interesado en la evolución fenotípica: cómo las poblaciones se diferencian y por medio de qué fuerzas evolutivas (selección vs deriva genética). Para alcanzar estos objetivos aplico una aproximación integral; por un lado, mediante el uso de diferentes indicadores de diferenciación fenotípica entre poblaciones (fenotipos simples y complejos) y por otro, incluyo diferentes marcadores moleculares (microsatélites, secuencias de ADN) para estimar la estructura genética de las poblaciones. Con ello se pretende tender un puente entre los procesos microevolutivos y los procesos a grandes escalas (a nivel de especies y superior). *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
