Materiales funcionales formados por superficies poliméricas y luego modificadas usando la técnica de interferencia de laser directa, de manera de generar en estos materiales una morfología controlada y/o química superficial con dimensiones de micro y nanoescala. Para desarrollar esto: autoensamblado de monocapas y multicapas, funcionalización superficial por reacciones químicas, polimerización superficial, formación de imágenes por interferencia de laser directo, fotoablación, fotolitografía, fotopolimerización. También, se sintetizan materiales compuestos por nanoparticulas, sintetizadas por métodos tradicionales (reacción química) y métodos alternativos como ablación laser.
