En los últimos años la angiogénesis ha sido estudiada con intensidad, ya que está involucrada en condiciones patológicas como el cáncer y en enfermedades reproductivas como ser la Poliquistosis Ovárica (PCOS) y el Síndrome de Hiperestimulación Ovárica (OHSS). Asimismo, la angiogénesis está asociada a la progresión tumoral, incluyendo el cancer de ovario.El objetivo de mis trabajos de investigación es el estudio del rol de factores angiogénicos como VEGF, Angiopoyetinas, miembros del sistema PDGF y del sistema Notch/Wnt sobre la regulación de la función ovárica y su acción en las patologías mencionadas, mediante muestras de pacientes y modelos experimentales desarrollados en roedores. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
