Su área de investigación se ubica entre la sociología rural, la sociología de los movimientos sociales y la ecología política. Ha profundizado en diferentes líneas de investigación, focalizando en la dimensión territorial e identitaria de los pueblos indígenas, el campesinado y las poblaciones que resisten procesos de desarrollo con alto impacto territorial y ambiental (asambleas socioambientales, por ej.), así como en la construcción de alternativas productivas al avance de los proyectos extractivos en distintos territorios (minería a gran escala, hidrocarburos no convencionales, agronegocios), y las acciones colectivas que derivan de la constitución de organizaciones y movimientos sociales, los entre otros aspectos. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
