Desde 2003 trabajo estimando riesgo acumulativo de toxicidad por exposición a plaguicidas, con el fin de optimizar los marcos regulatorios que controlan el registro y uso de productos plaguicidas. Poseo entrenamiento en ensayos tiempo- y dosis respuesta para caracterizar la accion conjunta de plaguicidas en rata luego de exposición aguda o cronica. Manejo recursos estadísticos que permiten modelar medidas repetidas (software BMDS, USEPA) y estimar letalidad (guia AOT425 OECD). Nuestro grupo ofrece servicios a terceros de asesoramiento toxicológico, y realizamos estudios de toxicidad aguda de plaguicidas y otros productos químicos de consumo humano. También elaboramos entrevistas y encuestas para caracterizar los determinantes ambientales y conductuales que aumentan la vulnerabilidad de la comunidad a la exposición a contaminantes ambientales. Inicie la formacion de un grupo de analisis de riesgo dietario; en Agosto 2022 estableci una relacion colaborativa con Universidad de Costa Rica para estimar riesgo por exposicion dietaria a residuos plaguicidas. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
