Ecología de humedales, relevamiento de la biodiversidad (invertebrados y plantas acuáticas, fitoplancton). Especies indicadoras de disturbio. Registro de parámetros ambientales para evaluar la calidad del agua de los ecosistemas acuáticos (temperatura, pH, conductividad, salinidad, total de sólidos disueltos, concentración y porcentaje de oxígeno disuelto). Determinación de nutrientes principales como nitrógeno total y fósforo total, iones como nitratos, nitritos, fosfatos. Determinación de total de sólidos en suspensión, alcalinidad, y clorofila. Cálculo de métricas de biodiversidad e índices de calidad (análisis de la composición y cobertura, diversidad alfa, beta y gamma, entre otras métricas). Rasgos funcionales de la comunidad biótica. Relaciones intra e interespecíficas. Aplicación de técnicas de teledetección, tecnologías de sensores remotos y SIG (Sistemas de Información Geográfica) para el monitoreo y estudio de los ecosistemas de agua dulce, comprender su funcionamiento y dinámica a escala espacial y temporal.
