Con foco en la prensa periódica del período 1830-1885, el eje de la investigación es el estudio de la creación y formación de un lectorado popular -especialmente urbano- cuyas estrategias de apropiación de la cultura impresa son analizadas a partir de la multidisciplinaridad de los estudios literarios, la nueva historia de la prensa y la historia de la lectura y de los lectores.
