El área principal de estudio del Dr. Ludueña está relacionada con materiales y tecnologías de procesamiento sustentables para la fabricación de productos basados en compuestos poliméricos. Los campos de aplicación son las industrias de envases de alimentos, agro-insumos (acolchados agrìcolas), energía eólica (molinos eólicos) y deportes náuticos (tablas de surf y afines). El objetivo de las investigaciones es generar el conocimiento necesario para reemplazar los materiales y métodos de procesamiento tradicionales por sustitutos que generen menor impacto ambiental. En todos los casos se trabaja desde la síntesis y modificación química de polímeros y refuerzos hasta la optimización del procesamiento y diseño geométrico de los productos. El Dr. Ludueña también dedica parte de su actividad laboral a brindar soluciones a empresas de distintas áreas de la Ingeniería en Materiales en el marco de servicios tecnológicos y convenios de i+D. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
