Investigo en microbiología molecular, combinando investigación básica y traslacional en virología, genética y ecología microbiana. Mi doctorado en FFyB-UBA se centró en el ensamblaje del Virus de Inmunodeficiencia de Simios, y mi postdoctorado en Harvard en vectores virales para vacunas de HIV. Poseo experiencia en técnicas de biología molecular, secuenciación de alto rendimiento, análisis filogenético, manipulación de virus y microorganismos, y estudios de diversidad genética en ambientes clínicos y naturales. He trabajado con virus humanos y bovinos, bacterias y algas invasoras, integrando laboratorio y bioinformática, con aplicaciones en diagnóstico, manejo de ecosistemas, control de infecciones y desarrollo de herramientas biotecnológicas. Actualmente soy investigador independiente del CONICET y Profesor de Virología General en la FCNyCS-UNPSJB, desarrollando proyectos interdisciplinarios en el Laboratorio de Virología y Genética Molecular.
