En el campo de la catálisis heterogénea me desenvuelvo en el craqueo catalítico de hidrocarburos y procesos afines, con énfasis en la preparación, caracterización y testeo en laboratorio de materiales catalíticos para fines específicos, así como en la evaluación de la procesabilidad de alimentaciones diversas y la exploración de condiciones operativas poco usuales. Complementan a mi actividad experimental, el estudio del modelado y simulación de fenómenos de transporte involucrados en procesos de difusión, adsorción y reacción química, simultáneos, tanto en estado estacionario como transitorio. Además, el aprovechamiento de biomasa residual y otras alimentaciones no-convencionales, como fuentes más limpias de energía y materias primas para la industria química, constituyen un aspecto de particular interés.
