Desde 1983 exploro temas asociados al bosque. Mi aprendizaje lo inicié en Suecia, donde trabajé y estudié durante 14 años. A partir de 1989 centré mis estudios en las interacciones entre plantas y herbívoros, tema que me llevó a Colombia (sistemas silvopastoriles, agroforestería), y luego a Tanzania (defensas antiherbívoro, valor nutricional de especies arbóreas del bosque semiárido. Desde 1997 me dedico a la consultoría forestal, utilizando sistemas de información geográfica (SIG) como platafo... Desde 1983 exploro temas asociados al bosque. Desde 1997 me dedico a la consultoría forestal, utilizando sistemas de información geográfica (SIG) como plataforma de análisis apoyo de gestión y planificación forestal. He brindando servicios a empresas radicadas en el NEA, Uruguay, Colombia , Chile y Gabón. Desde mi ingreso CIC el año 2008 he concentrado mis esfuerzos en desarrollar modelos mecanísticos espacialmente explícitos, que me permitan analizar el funcionamiento de paisajes forestales. Mi interés es generar una mejor base para brindar apoyo a la toma de decisiones (gestión y política) asociadas al uso del sustentable de paisajes boscosos y vida silvestre.
