El objetivo principal de mi trabajo es comprender la historia geológica de zonas de subducción, con énfasis en los Andes de Argentina y Chile. Para esto, utilizo técnicas de geología estructural y geotectonica, integrándolas con disciplinas complementarias (geocronología, termocronología, geofísica, sedimentología, volcanología, geoquímica, modelado numérico, etc). Los resultados obtenidos tienen aplicaciones para el conocimiento acerca del peligro sísmico y volcánico, y para la búsqueda y explotación de recursos naturales (hidrocarburos, yacimientos minerales). *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
