En la actualidad soy Investigador Adjunto del CONICET. Obtuve mi Ph.D. en Ciencias Marinas en Stony Brook University (USA), en donde también desarrollé una beca Fulbright. Tras mi regreso a la Argentina llevé a cabo un postdoc en el Departamento de Ciencias Marinas de la UNMdP. Actualmente estoy afiliado al IIMyC (Mar del Plata) y mi principal concentración en investigación son las matas microbianas de ambientes costeros extremos (evaporíticos), así como la ecología del microfitobentos estuaria... Mi campo técnico de especialización es la ecología experimental, muestreo y análisis microbiológico de muestras ambientales de sedimento y plancton marino (microscopía óptica, epifluorescencia, MEB, citometría de flujo, conteo automatizado de partículas, análisis molecular, etc)
