Licenciado en Bibliotecología y Ciencia de la Información; Doctor y Magister en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Se ocupa de temas vinculados con la historia de la lectura, el libro, las bibliotecas y la bibliotecología en Argentina, con particular interés en las bibliotecas populares. Fue becario doctoral (2009-2014) y posdoctoral (2016-2017) de Conicet. Entre 2017 y 2020 se desempeñó como director de Investigaciones de la Biblioteca Nacional Mariano Moreno (Argentina). Actualmente, es investigador de Conicet y director del Departamento de Bibliotecología la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación (UNLP), donde también reviste como profesor en la cátedra de Historia del Libro y de las Bibliotecas.
