El objetivo de mi investigación es la identificación de mutaciones que se originan en genes cuya alteración lleva a enfermedades hereditarias y/o desarrollo de tumores. La metodología utilizada incluye: 1) Análisis de secuencia de nucleótidos de las zonas codificantes y las comprometidas con el mecanismo de empalme de exones para identificar mutaciones pequeñas; 2) Análisis de la amplificación de sondas dependiente de la ligación (MLPA) para identificar alteraciones grandes.
