Fernando Muñoz es Licenciado (2006) y Doctor (2012) en Ciencias Biológicas por la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. Se ha formado en el área de la Bioquímica Vegetal en el Instituto de Investigaciones Biológicas (IIB-CONICET-UNMdP) y en el Instituto de Biología Celular y Molecular de la Universidad Miguel Hernández, España; donde ha participado en el análisis de proteínas involucradas en la defensa de plantas. Es JTP en la Cátedra de Fisiología Vegetal de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Dirige 1 tesis doctoral, 1 de maestría y varios estudiantes de grado. Es Investigador adjunto CONICET en el IIB. Su línea de trabajo se basa en la innovación para el agregado de valor en cultivos de interés agronómico mediante la biofortificación con selenio.
