Mi desarrollo profesional está enfocado en la aplicación de técnicas taxonómicas, filogenéticas y paleobiogeográficas. Las técnicas taxonómicas se aplican a los organismos teniendo un conocimiento detallado de la anatomía de los mismos para determinar su menor nivel de clasificación posible. Las técnicas filogenéticas, aplicadas mediante software informáticos, tienen como objetivo conocer las relaciones ancestro-descendiente del grupo en cuestión, con el máximo detalle que sea posible, además de otorgar un soporte más fuerte al análisis taxonómico. Las técnicas paleobiogeográficas, también aplicadas mediante software informáticos, intentan reconstruir las áreas poblacionales de los distintos organismos y como ocurrió su especiación, si fue mediante vicarianza (especiación alopátrica) o no (especiación simpátrica). Combinando las tres técnicas, se puede obtener un conjunto de información muy completo de cualquier grupo de estudio. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
