Mi especialidad es la biominería en todos sus aspectos: microorganismos, mecanismos, procesos. Tengo larga experiencia también en la biorremediación de metales con especial interés en biosorción, bioprecipitación, biotransformaciones, biodisolución e, incluso, fitorremediación. Finalmente, en los últimos años he incursionado en la búsqueda de extremófilos y en el relevamiento del impacto ambiental en zonas aledañas a pasivos mineros.
