Estudio de los ambientes sedimentarios y estratigrafía del Mesozoico, con especialización en sedimentología de rampas carbonáticas y facies finas en sistemas marinos. Las investigaciones realizadas se caracterizan un su enfoque multidisciplinario, con sólida base en estudios petrográficos/microfaciales y bioestratigráficos (amonites, calciesferas y calpionélidos), especialmente orientados a sistemas petroleros no convencionales (Fms. Los Molles, Vaca Muerta y Agrio), con una continua transferencia a la industria de los hidrocarburos. Académicamente, estos estudios han permitido la construcción de un sólido marco estratigráfico secuencial y cicloestratigráfico que han permitido la calibración temporal del Tithoniano-Hauteriviano a nivel mundial. Estas disciplinas son combinadas con otras disciplinas estratigráficas de mi grupo de trabajo (magnetoestratigrafía, cicloestratigrafía de magnetismo de rocas), lo que está permitiendo ajustar la cronoestratigrafía del Mesozoico de Argentina y generando aportes significativos a la cronoestratigrafía global. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
