Obtuve una licenciatura y maestría en Física en el Instituto Balseiro investigando modelos de propagación de epidemias, y un doctorado estudiando teoría de juegos evolutiva y teoría de la información aplicada al lenguaje escrito. Luego, como becario postdoctoral en Emory, Atlanta, me enfoqué en problemas de neurociencia computacional e inferencia con pocas muestras. Actualmente, investigo estrategias de codificación neuronal e inferencia Bayesiana en imágenes médicas en el CAB. Uno de los principales objetivos de mi investigación es comprender procesos cerebrales cognitivos en su conjunto, desde la adquisición de estímulos hasta las respuestas en comportamiento. Otro aspecto es el estudio de la estructura del lenguaje, considerado como una proyección de representaciones internas complejas. Abordo estos conceptos a través del análisis de datos empíricos (libros, actividad neuronal en retina de salamandra y en corteza motora de pájaros, imágenes de RM) y el uso de marcos formales, principalmente centrado en inferencia Bayesiana, la teoría de la información y el aprendizaje automático. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
