Nuestro laboratorio trabaja con el objeto de encontrar estrategias que estimulen la regeneración/remielinización en el sistema nervioso periférico.Entre ellas estamos evaluando la capacidad de células multipotentes de médula ósea o de tejido adiposo y los efectos de un nutriente esencial como el hierro.En los últimos años incorporamos técnicas nanotecnológicas como el direccionamiento magnético de células multipotentes adultas cargadas con nanopartículas magnéticas de magnetita.Más recientemente, incorporamos otra estrategia nanotecnológica como es la transfección de las células multipotentes con nanocápsulas de PLGA cargadas con ADN plasmídico de distintos factores tróficos involucrados en la regeneración en el sistema nervioso periférico *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
