Modern wideband communications systems operate today at higher frequencies, with increased bandwidth and dynamic range. Under these conditions, nonlinear dynamic behavior and circuit non ideal effects at the radio frequency (RF) analog front end (AFE) are strong sources of distortion that severely deteriorate the performance of the system. This is particularly critical at the analog-to-digital converter (ADC), due to propagation of errors in the discrete output of these devices to the rest of the processing chain. In fact, this determines an upper limit in the achievable performance even if the rest of the system is ideal. In this sense, efficient solutions for distortion reduction in sampling systems are a key demand. In this context, the aim is to obtain such solutions through post-processing techniques for distortion reduction in the digital domain. To this purpose, the development of accurate models, efficient parameter estimation algorithms, and low complexity post-compensators is proposed. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
