Soy etnohistoriadora especializada en historia indígena y etnología histórica de las tierras bajas sudamericanas y del Oriente boliviano en particular. Realicé investigaciones sobre la dinámica interétnica de la conquista de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, sobre la guerra de independencia Santa Cruz de la Sierra y en la gobernación de Chiquitos durante el gobierno de Ignacio Warnes y sobre etnología histórica de los indígenas de Chiquitos en el período colonial tardío y los primeros años del gobierno republicano en Bolivia (1768-1831). Analizo información histórica y documental con herramientas provenientes del campo de la etnología, de la antropología social y con el objetivo de conocer dinámicas sociales y culturales indígenas a partir de los datos disponibles en el registro histórico y en contraste con información etnográfica contemporánea.Actualmente desarrollo una investigación sobre formas de organización social, relaciones interétnicas y procesos etnogenéticos de los chiquitanos de Bolivia y Brasil en el largo siglo XIX. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
